SUMMARY

The FoxPro Distribution Kit for Windows includes the ADDICON.APP application so that you can add icons to your .EXE files. ADDICON.APP is a FoxPro for Windows application that is run from within the development version of FoxPro for Windows. When your application is installed at end-user sites, the icon you created is displayed in the Windows Program Manager. ADDICON.APP only creates the icon used in the Program Manager. It does not affect the minimized icon that is presented when the program is running.

If ADDICON.APP was used to add an icon to an .EXE file, and the .EXE is later rebuilt through the Project Manager, the icon information in that .EXE file is overwritten. ADDICON.APP must be run every time an .EXE file is rebuilt through the Project Manager.

NOTE: To specify the icon displayed when the running .EXE file is minimized, use the MODIFY WINDOW command along with the ICON FILE clause.
