VARREAD() and SYS(18) Return in Uppercase or Proper Case

The information in this article applies to:

VARREAD() and SYS(18) return the current field's name to a procedure. In a GET field, the name is returned in uppercase.

However, these functions return the field's name in the proper case (initial caps) from a Browse window.

NOTE: Under Visual FoxPro for Windows 3.0 and 3.0b, VARREAD() returns the field's name in uppercase characters from a Browser window.
