SUMMARY ======= This article describes how to publish a FrontPage Web to a server on which the FrontPage Server Extensions are not installed. MORE INFORMATION ================ To publish your Web to a server that does not have FrontPage Server Extensions installed, use the appropriate method for your situation. FrontPage 97 ------------ If you have not installed the Web Publishing Wizard, install it using the following steps: 1. Insert the FrontPage 97 compact disc in the CD-ROM drive. The Microsoft FrontPage 97 With Bonus Pack windows appears. 2. When the Microsoft FrontPage 97 with Bonus Pack window appears, click Web Publishing Wizard. 3. Follow the instructions on your screen. After you have installed the Web Publishing Wizard, follow these steps: 1. Open a Web in FrontPage Explorer. 2. On the File menu, click Publish FrontPage Web. 3. In the "Destination Web Server or File Location" box, type the URL address of the Web server to which you want to publish your content. For example, type the following: http://example.microsoft.com/myweb Click OK. 4. When the Web Publishing Wizard appears, do the following: a. Click Next twice. b. Click New. c. Click Next two more times. d. Select the appropriate Internet connection and then click Next. e. In the User Name box, type your FTP user name. In the Password box, type your FTP password. Click Next twice. f. When you are prompted to select a protocol, click FTP and then click Next. g. In the User Name box, type your FTP user name. In the Password box, type your FTP password. Click Next. h. Type your FTP Server Name and click Next. i. Type the folder on the FTP server that you want to use for your Web content. j. Click Next twice, and then click Finish. FrontPage 1.0 for the Power Macintosh ------------------------------------- 1. In FrontPage Explorer, open a Web. 2. On the File menu, click Publish FrontPage Web. 3. In the "Destination Web Server or File Location" box, type the URL address of the Web server to which you want to publish your content. For example, type the following: http://example.microsoft.com/myweb Click OK. 4. In the Web Publishing Wizard, type the FTP Server Name and specify the folder on the FTP server to which you want to publish your content. Click Next. 5. In the User Name box, type your FTP User Name. In the Password box, type your FTP Password. Click Finish.
