SYMPTOMS

When you attempt to copy or move a file from your desktop computer to your Handheld PC (H/PC), you may receive the following error message:

   Cannot copy <filename>: Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you
   specify the correct path and filename.

CAUSE

This behavior occurs when the destination folder on your H/PC no longer exists although it is displayed in H/PC Explorer.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, use one of the following methods:

  • Re-create the folder on your H/PC, and then copy or move the file to the folder.
  • Copy or move the file to a different folder on your H/PC.
