Channels Are Missing After You Rename the Channels Folder

SYMPTOMS

If you rename the Channels folder and then restart Internet Explorer, your channels may be missing. Note that by design, you should not be able to rename the Channels folder.

To avoid this issue, do not rename the Channels folder.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer for UNIX on Sun Solaris. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
