Favorite Does Not Open in Internet Explorer 4.0

SYMPTOMS

When you click a favorite on the Favorites Explorer bar, the Web page or folder that the favorite references may not be loaded or opened.

CAUSE

This problem can occur if you accidentally try to move a folder from the Favorites Explorer bar to the Favorites Explorer bar (instead of moving the folder to another location).

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, quit and then restart Internet Explorer.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Internet Explorer version 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
