"Forms submit" is a method that is used to submit information to a Web site.

When the "Warn if forms submit is being redirected" check box is selected, an Internet Redirection dialog box appears when you are about to be redirected to a new Web site. You can choose to continue to the new Web site, or you can choose not to continue. If you choose to continue, any information you exchanged with the current Web site (such as your e-mail address) may be accessed by the new Web site.

This article describes how to cause Internet Explorer to notify you when a forms submit is about to be redirected to a new Web site.

If you want to receive an alert before a forms submit is redirected to a new Web site, follow these steps:

1. Start Internet Explorer.

2. On the View (or Tools) menu, click Internet Options.

3. Click the Advanced tab, and then scroll to the "Warn if forms submit is

   being redirected" check box.

4. Click the "Warn if forms submit is being redirected" check box to
   select it.

5. Click OK, and then quit Internet Explorer.

When the "Warn if forms submit is being redirected" check box is selected and you are redirected to a new Web site, the following Internet Redirection dialog box will appear:

   You are about to be redirected to a new internet site.

   Any information you exchanged with the current site could be
   retransmitted to the new internet site you are about to connect with.
   Do you wish to continue?
