Newsgroup Unavailable in Newsgroup Subscription List

SYMPTOMS

When you are viewing the list of newsgroups in Internet News, a newsgroup icon may be unavailable.

CAUSE

The newsgroup does not exist on your server, or you are not connected to the server.

RESOLUTION

Verify that you are connected to the server and that the newsgroup is a valid newsgroup on your server. To do so, follow these steps:

  1. Start Internet News, and then click the Newsgroups button on the toolbar.

  2. In the Newsgroups dialog box, click Reset List.
