Personal Web Server Removed with Transmission Control Protocol

SYMPTOMS

When you remove any instance of the Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) in Network properties, Personal Web Server is also removed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this problem, reinstall Personal Web Server.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Personal Web Server version 1.0 for Windows 95.

After you reinstall Personal Web Server, you must re-create any user or group accounts that used a local security list.
