Send/Receive Button Unavailable in Internet Mail and News

SYMPTOMS

When you are using Internet Mail and News for Macintosh, the following symptoms may occur:

  • The Send/Receive and Post Message buttons are unavailable.
  • The Mail menu command is unavailable.

CAUSE

Your e-mail address is missing in your Internet Mail and News user profile.

RESOLUTION

To add your e-mail address to your Internet Mail and News user profile, follow these steps:

  1. On the Edit menu, click Preferences.

  2. Click User Profile.

  3. Type your e-mail address in the Identity box.
