If you do not specify the LogVerbose option, External will appear to hang after testing permanent and dynamic drive connections, and will not initialize the postoffices that correspond to the missing .XTN files. If you specify the -Q1 option, the above error will be logged and the following error will also appear: Failure initializing postoffice list at NET/PO RESOLUTION ========== Create a new .XTN file called xxxxxxxx.XTN, where xxxxxxxx is the file not found by External, or restore the .XTN file from the last backup.
