Mouse Err Msg: Setup Has Trouble Writing File: Cpanel.exe

Microsoft Mouse Driver for MS-DOS, versions 8.2 and 8.2a

SYMPTOMS

The following error message may occur if you choose to set up the Microsoft Mouse or Microsoft BallPoint Mouse to the root directory instead of a subdirectory.

   Setup is having trouble writing the file: cpanel.exe

If you re-run Setup and specify a subdirectory other than the root, Setup should run correctly.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the Microsoft Mouse version 8.2a Setup program. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
