Multiple IntelliPoint Program Groups Appear on Start Menu

SYMPTOMS

When you install the Microsoft IntelliPoint software in a second language, the program group created by the previous installation of the IntelliPoint software is not removed.

RESOLUTION

To resolve this behavior, uninstall the IntelliPoint software before you install the IntelliPoint software in a second language.

You can install the IntelliPoint 2.1 software in the following languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Brazilian Portuguese.

If you install a second language of the IntelliPoint software on your system without first uninstalling the previous language, a program group for each language appears on the Start Menu.

For example, if you install the IntelliPoint software in French, and then install the IntelliPoint software in German, the program groups "Materiel Microsoft" and "Microsoft-Hardware" both appear on the Start Menu.
