SUMMARY

If the Minimize on Use option is set in Program Manager and you start CodeView from a Program Manager icon, the system may appear to hang in the debugging session. This occurs after you run the program to completion, then choose Restart from the Run menu and choose F5 to run the program again. CodeView may appear to cause the system to hang even though the mouse moves and other applications may be running in the background. This problem occurs with both single-monitor and dual- monitor debugging.

MORE INFORMATION

The text below is part of the DETAILS.TXT file distributed with Microsoft C version 7.0:

Disable the Minimize On Use Option When Debugging
   -------------------------------------------------

Running an application in CodeView for Windows can disable mouse
and keyboard control if the Minimize On Use option is set in the
Windows Program Manager. This behavior occurs if you run an
application using F5, restart from the Run menu, and begin to debug
the application. If you experience this problem, use CTRL+ALT+SYSRQ
to stop the application, issue the WKA command from within CodeView
for Windows, and choose Exit from the File menu to return to
   Windows.
