SYMPTOMS ======== When you open the MSDN Sampler What's New Help topic from the Start menu, from Windows Explorer, or from the Microsoft Office 97, Developer Edition Tools compact disc, only a title is displayed on the Contents page. No other information appears in the Help topic. The same behavior occurs when you open the Whats32.hlp file from Windows Explorer or from the Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition compact disc. STATUS ====== Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Office 97, Developer Edition Tools. MORE INFORMATION ================ Steps to Reproduce Problem -------------------------- 1. Run the MSDN Setup program from the Microsoft Office 97 Developer Edition (ODE) compact disc to install the MSDN Sampler. 2. Start the What's New shortcut from the Start menu. 3. A Windows Help Contents page opens displaying "Office Developer Edition Sampler presented by Microsoft Developer Network" on the first page. 4. Click Contents. Note that the Help topic is empty and nothing appears when you click the Contents button.
