OFF98: Excel Doesn't Regain Focus After Editing Word Object

SYMPTOMS

When you edit a Word Document Object in an Excel worksheet while an instance of Word is currently running, and you then close the Word Document Object to return to Excel, Word remains in the foreground instead of Excel.

WORKAROUND

To workaround this problem, click the Finder, and then click Microsoft Excel.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
