Draw: Inconsistent Accelerator Keys for Editing

ID: Q79703

The information in this article applies to:

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Draw version 1.0, the accelerator keys for the Undo, Cut, Copy, and Paste commands only work when you are editing objects. The accelerator keys are consistent with the standard accelerator keys used when editing on the Macintosh. These are not the same accelerator keys used to perform the same functions in other Windows applications.

When editing text, the accelerator keys for Undo, Cut, Copy, and Paste are the same keys used in other Windows applications.

The following chart lists the various accelerator keys:

Command Editing Objects for Editing Text for Draw &
Draw & the Macintosh Other Windows Applications
-------- -------------------- --------------------------

Undo CTRL+Z ALT+BACKSPACE
Cut CTRL+X SHIFT+DEL
Copy CTRL+C CTRL+INS
Paste CTRL+V SHIFT+INS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Draw version 1.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information here as it becomes available.
