SYMPTOMS

If you change the Time Font size in the Day/Week/Month view of the Microsoft Outlook 97 Calendar, the size does not change on the Calendar Time Bar.

CAUSE

The Time Font specifies the font for hours on the Calendar Time Bar when viewing days. While you can change the Time Font name and size, changes to the size are not displayed on the Time Bar. The Calendar Time Bar always displays the Time Font size at twice the Day Font size. The Day Font is the font defined by the Font button in the Day area of the "Format Day/Week/Month View" dialog box.

WORKAROUND

To change the Time Font size on the Time Bar, set the Day Font size half as large. For Example, if you want the hours on the Time Bar in a 32-point font, set the Day Font to 16 points. To change the Time Font size, follow these steps:

1. On the View menu, point to Current View, and then click Day/Week/Month

   to select the Day/Week/Month view.

2. On the View menu, click Format View to open the "Format Day/Week/Month
   View" dialog box.

3. Under Day, click Font to open the Font dialog box.

4. In the Size box, type or select a point size half as large as you want

   for the Time Font.

5. Click OK to return to the "Format Day/Week/Month View" dialog box. The
Time Font may not indicate the correct size in this dialog box; however,
it will be displayed on the Time Bar at twice the size that the Day Font
   indicates.

6. Click OK to return to the Calendar.
