OL97: Incorrect Page Size for Day-Timer Junior Pocket Forms

SYMPTOMS

When printing Contacts from Microsoft Outlook 97, if you choose the Page Size for Day-Timer Junior Pocket, the printout will not match the page layout of the Day-Timer Junior Pocket printer sheets.

NOTE: Similar results have been reported using Day-Timer Senior Pocket printer sheets.

CAUSE

The default dimensions generated by Outlook for the Day-Timer Junior Pocket, are 3 by 5 inches, in a layout of four pages (2 x 2) per 8.5-by-11 inch sheet.

The actual size of the Day-Timer Junior Pocket, loose-leaf, pre-perfed, printer sheets (Day-Timer product #20255), is 2.75 by 5 inches, with a layout of six pages (3 x 2) per sheet.

RESOLUTION

There is no way to force the correct layout for this particular Day-Timer form.

Steps to Reproduce Problem

1. Click the Printer icon on the toolbar while in the Contacts view of

   Outlook.

2. Choose one of the Print styles and click Page Setup.

3. On the Paper tab click, "Day-Timer Junior Pocket", in Page size.

4. Insert Day-timer form #20255 in the printer.

5. Click Print and OK.

RESULTS: The printout will not register properly on the perforated form.
