FIX: dbcursorfetchex/dbcursorfetch Do Not Return Error 10086

SYMPTOMS

The functions dbcursorfetchex (for explicit server cursor) or dbcursorfetch (for both client cursor and transparent server cursor) fails (RETCODE = FAIL) without any error message when you use FETCH_RELATIVE to fetch and the fetch value is outside the valid range. DBLIB version 4.21a used to return error 10086 : 'Row number to be fetched is outside valid range.'

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. This problem has been corrected in U.S. Service Pack 3 for Microsoft SQL Server version 6.0. For more information, contact your primary support provider.
