SUMMARY

Microsoft Excel's Edit Paste Special command can be used to add, subtract, multiply and divide a range of numbers with a constant.

MORE INFORMATION

For example, to divide a range of numbers by 100, do the following:

  1. Type the number 100 in any unused cell.

  2. From the Edit menu, choose Copy.

  3. Select all of the cells with numbers to be divided by 100.

  4. From the Edit menu, choose Paste Special.

  5. Select Divide and choose OK.

Again, this can be done with addition, subtraction, and multiplication as well.
