Page 104 of the "Microsoft Excel Reference" version 2.2 manual incorrectly implies that, when used by itself, the CLEAR key can be used to toggle the NUM LOCK key off and on.

This is a documentation error: SHIFT+CLEAR must be used to toggle the NUM LOCK key.

When used by itself, the CLEAR key works the same as the DELETE or BACKSPACE key.
