In Microsoft Excel, you may receive a general protection (GP) fault if a Visual Basic macro is started by an OnSheetDeactivate command and the macro then closes the workbook in which it is contained.

When you scale a chart object that is an embedded chart, the chart in the object is displayed off center, its worksheet cells are visible, and the Chart object frame returns to its original size.

XL5: GP Fault in VBA.DLL on Exit After Saving to Floppy Drive

In Microsoft Excel, if you save a workbook that contains a Visual Basic module to a floppy disk, and then remove the floppy disk from the disk drive, if you then save the file with the same filename to another drive, you receive the following error message

and then the following error message:
Document not saved
When you quit Microsoft Excel, you receive a general protection (GP) fault in module VBA.DLL.

XL5: Functions Not Saved to Quattro Pro File Format

In Microsoft Excel, when you save a worksheet to the Quattro Pro for DOS (.WQ1) file format, if the file contains any of the following functions


   - N()
   - T()
   - NPER()
   - FV() - only if you use the optional arguments pv and type
   - PMT() - only if you use the optional arguments fv and type
   - PV() - only if you use the optional arguments fv and type 


you receive the following error message:
Cannot write record. (Cell: A1)
This error message appears with the reference of the cell that contains one of the functions listed above. When you open the file you saved, the cell that contained one of the functions listed above now contains the value of the function, but the function is gone.

XL5: GP Fault If Many Line Continuation Characters in Module

XL5: Infinite Loop If OLE Automation Server Busy

If you use the CreateObject function in a Visual Basic procedure in Microsoft Excel to create an OLE Automation object, and you then request information from the object (for example, to display a dialog box), if you switch back to Microsoft Excel (the Client application), you may receive the following error message:
Microsoft Excel is waiting for another application to complete an OLE action
The only available buttons are OK and Help. The error message continues to appear when you choose OK.
