The information in this article applies to:
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 5.0, 5.0c
  • Microsoft Excel for the Macintosh, versions 5.0, 5.0a
  • Microsoft Excel for Windows 95, versions 7.0, 7.0a
  • Microsoft Excel 97 for Windows
  • Microsoft Excel 98 Macintosh Edition

SUMMARY

When you use the GET.DOCUMENT(67) macro command in Microsoft Excel version 5.0 or later, you will always receive the value TRUE.

MORE INFORMATION

In Microsoft Excel 5.0 Macro Functions Help, the information for GET.DOCUMENT() states the following:

67 Microsoft Excel 5.0 always returns TRUE here.

This statement is true because Microsoft Excel versions 5.0 and later do not support unbound sheets in workbooks or sheets that are not contained within workbooks.

NOTE: In Microsoft Excel version 4.0, there are three possible values that may be returned by the GET.DOCUMENT(67) command:

   Value Definition
   ----- ----------------------------------------------------
TRUE The sheet is contained in a workbook and is bound.
FALSE The sheet is contained in a workbook and is unbound.
#N/A The sheet is not contained in a workbook at all.

Because all sheets in Microsoft Excel versions 5.0 and later are bound and are also part of a workbook, the only possible value that GET.DOCUMENT(67) can return is TRUE.
