Excel Quick Numeric Keypad Entry

The information in this article applies to:

Microsoft Excel for Windows, versions 2.x, 3.0, 4.0, 4.0a, 5.0

You can use the numeric keypad to enter numbers down a column or row in Excel by turning on the NUM LOCK key, entering your numbers, and holding down the SHIFT key to activate the direction control. SHIFT reactivates the directional key codes. This way you do not have to move your hand from the numeric keypad.
