Note that the following macro code will return the full path and file name of the active workbook only if the workbook has been saved.

1. Type the following macro code in a module sheet in a new workbook.

      Sub GetPath()
         MsgBox ThisWorkbook.FullName
      End Sub

2. Save the workbook.

3. To run the macro, position the insertion point in the "GetPath"

   line, and press F5.

   A message box will appear with the full path and file name for the
   active workbook.
