Excel: Attached Text Cannot Be Moved

SUMMARY

Attached text in a Microsoft Excel chart is fixed to a particular location. You cannot move text that is attached to any of the following:

  • Chart title
  • Category axis
  • Value axis
  • Any series or data point

To make an Excel chart appear with the chart title below the category axis, attach the appropriate text to the category axis.
