SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, numbers do not display with formatting when formulas are displayed.

Macro sheets default to displaying formulas instead of values. To display formatted numbers on a worksheet or macro sheet, do the following:

  1. From the Options menu, choose Display.

  2. Deselect Formulas by removing the "X" from the Formulas check box.

  3. Click OK.

MORE INFORMATION

Excel versions 3.00 and 2.20 also incorporate a shortcut key command to switch between formula and value displays. Press COMMAND+` (back apostrophe) to toggle between the two displays.

Note: If you are using On Cue, QuickKeys, Tempo, or some other program that configures the keyboard, this keyboard option may be available due to the use of this keystroke by these programs. To use this keystroke, reconfigure the program to not use this key command.
