Excel: Changing Minimum and Maximum Values on Chart Axis

SUMMARY

To change the minimum and maximum values displayed on the value axis of a chart:

  1. Select the value axis.

  2. From the Format menu, choose Scale. In version 1.50 and earlier, choose Axis from the Format menu.

  3. Enter the desired values into the minimum and maximum edit boxes.

  4. Click OK.

The minimum and maximum values can be changed on the category axis only in a scatter chart.
