Summary:

In Microsoft Excel version 3.0, you cannot apply text alignment and orientation to all attached chart text at one time. In Excel 3.0, you must select each label individually before you format alignment and orientation.

You can expedite this process by formatting without opening the Text dialog box for each label. To format chart text without returning to the Text dialog box, use the following procedure:

  1. Select a label.

  2. From the Format Menu, select Text.

  3. Select an alignment or orientation option, and choose the OK button.

  4. Select the next label.

  5. From the Edit menu, choose Repeat Text (press COMMAND+Y on Macintosh systems).

More Information:

Font type, font size, and color of attached text can be formatted globally by selecting the Apply To All option in the Font dialog box (accessed in the Format menu); however, there is no comparable option in the Text dialog box.
