Excel: Closing an Add-In Macro from a Within a Macro

Last reviewed: November 30, 1994
Article ID: Q80230
Summary:

In Microsoft Excel version 3.0, an Add-In is a type of macrosheet which isn't directly accessable through the menu. This means that it cannot be closed by using a menu option; however, an Add-In can be closed by using another macro which activates the Add-In and closes it through a macro command.

For example, the following macro closes the "Test" Add-In:

   A1: =ACTIVATE("Test")
   A2: =CLOSE()
   A3: =RETURN()
