Excel: Deleting Parts of a Legend

SUMMARY

After you delete the information for a particular series on a Microsoft Excel worksheet, its corresponding marker in the chart legend will remain.

To entirely remove the series from the chart (including its marker in the legend), do the following:

  1. Activate the chart.

  2. Click on the series (the correct pattern) that you want to delete.

  3. Click in the formula bar and delete its contents.

  4. Press RETURN.
