SUMMARY

When printing a worksheet to a PostScript printer from Microsoft Excel, you can choose to scale the worksheet by choosing either the Reduce, Enlarge, or Fit To Page option in the Page Setup dialog box. With all other printer drivers, these options are unavailable (dimmed). However, you can simulate these scaling options by making use of Excel's camera tool.

MORE INFORMATION

One way to scale an image to a non-PostScript printer is to take a picture of the desired print area using the camera tool, scale it, and then print it as follows:

  1. Select the desired cells in the page.

  2. Select the camera tool on the tool bar.

  3. Select the cell where you want to paste the upper left corner of the picture.

  4. Scale the picture by positioning the mouse pointer over one of the handles (small black squares) and, when the pointer turns into a cross hair, hold down the SHIFT key and drag the handle to create the new dimensions you want.

  5. Select the cells beneath the picture and choose Set Print Area from the Options menu.

  6. You may want to view the picture in print preview prior to printing it out. When the size is satisfactory, print.
