Excel: How to Print the Data Form

ID: Q89715

The information in this article applies to:

In Microsoft Excel for Windows, there is no direct way to print a data form; however, you can copy a screen image of the Data Form to the Windows Clipboard and embed it as a picture object in a worksheet or in a Microsoft Word for Windows document.

WORKAROUND

  1. With the data form displayed on the screen, press ALT+PRINT SCREEN.

This copies a screen image of the data form to the clipboard.

  2. Open a new worksheet in Microsoft Excel or a document in Word for Windows. (You can paste objects into worksheets in Microsoft Excel version 3.0 and later.)

  3. From the Edit menu, choose Paste.

The screen image can now be pasted from the clipboard to the Microsoft Excel worksheet or Word document which can then be printed.

NOTE: If you are using Microsoft Excel versions 3.0 or 4.0, you can embed the form as an object in a worksheet. If you are using an earlier version of Microsoft Excel, copy the image into another application such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Write for printing.
