Excel: Importing Lotus 1-2-3 Version 3.0 Files into Excel

SUMMARY

The following procedures are for versions of Microsoft Excel prior to version 3.00. Excel version 3.00 is capable of reading and saving Lotus 1-2-3 release 3.x [WK3] files. Microsoft Excel versions 2.20 and earlier cannot directly read Lotus 1-2-3 release 3.x [WK3] files.

To import a Lotus 1-2-3 version 3.0 document into Microsoft Excel, save the Lotus 3.0 document as a Lotus 2.0 file. Once it is saved, transfer the file to the Macintosh and open it normally through the File menu in Microsoft Excel.
