SUMMARY

While only 255 characters can be added at a time using Microsoft Excel's NOTE function in a command macro, up to 15858 characters can be contained in a singe cell note.

A cell note with this information cannot be read back into a single cell or defined name. However, if you use the GET.NOTE function, parts of the cell notes can be read 255 characters at a time.
