Excel: MultiFinder Allows Multiple Tasks in 1.50 and Later

SUMMARY

When Microsoft Excel version 1.50 or later is used with MultiFinder, it can perform calculations and execute macros, as well as save, close, and open documents while working in another application (that is, you can type a memo in Word while Excel is running a macro or doing a long recalculation). Other applications that are MultiFinder compatible can perform complex operations while you use Excel for other tasks.

Please note that you cannot do other work within Excel while a macro is running; you can only work in other applications.

Excel will stop processing if a macro displays a dialog box while you are working in another application. A "Waiting..." message will appear to the left of the formula bar and your machine will beep once.

To continue processing, activate Excel and close the dialog box by clicking the OK or Cancel button. Pulling down menus and activating dialog boxes in other applications will cause background processing in Excel to pause temporarily.
