Excel: Opening Multiple Linked Files in MultiFinder

Last reviewed: November 1, 1994

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel Microsoft 2.20 multiple linked documents cannot be opened from the Finder while Excel is running under MultiFinder. If the linked documents are opened, the message "Update File to Unopened Documents" will appear for all selected files, but only the first file in the selected series will open. This problem is due to a limitation of MultiFinder.

To access multiple linked documents from the Finder under MultiFinder, do the following:

  1. Quit Excel.

  2. Select the files from the Finder and choose Open from the File menu.
