Excel: Regression P-Value Is Calculated Incorrectly

SYMPTOMS

In Microsoft Excel versions 4.0 and 4.0a, the Regression tool in the Analysis ToolPak calculates the p-value statistic incorrectly.

The Analysis ToolPak is an add-in macro that contains several statistical analysis tools. The Regression tool calculates many statistics related to regression.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Excel versions 4.0 and 4.0a, we are researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
