INTRODUCTION

When you reply to a reply from a Windows for Workgroups 3.11 Schedule+ meeting request, the header information may be converted to French. For example, the header appears as follows:

   ----------------
   De: <User B>
   A: <User A>
   Date d'envoi: <dddddddd, mmmmmmm dd, yyyy, hh:mmPM/AM>
   Objet: YES: <Subject text>

   Microsoft Mail v3.0 IPM.Microsoft Schedule.MtgRespP
   To: <User A>
   Date Sent: <yyyy-mm-dd, hh:mm>
   PĂ©riode: <ddd, mmm dd, yyyy, hh:mmPM/AM - hh:mmPM/AM>
   Subject: YES: <Subject text>

The WG1002 disk included with this Application Note contains the SCHEDMSG.DLL file from Microsoft Mail version 3.2. Using this file with Windows for Workgroups version 3.11 Mail and Schedule+ corrects the problem noted above.

To install the updated SCHEDMSG.DLL file

  1. Quit Windows for Workgroups.

  2. Make a backup copy of the currently installed SCHEDMSG.DLL file by typing the following at the MS-DOS command prompt and then pressing ENTER

          ren <drive>:<path>\schedmsg.dll schedmsg.old

where <drive>:<path> is the location of your Windows SYSTEM subdirectory.

For example, if your Windows directory is called WINDOWS and is on drive C, type the following at the MS-DOS command prompt and then press ENTER:

          ren c:\windows\system\schedmsg.dll schedmsg.old

  3. Insert the enclosed WG1002 disk in the appropriate floppy disk drive.

  4. To copy the file to the Windows SYSTEM subdirectory, type the following at the MS-DOS command prompt and then press ENTER

          copy <drive>:\schedmsg.dll <destination>

where <drive> is the floppy disk drive containing the WG1002 disk and <destination> is the drive and directory of your Windows SYSTEM subdirectory.

For example, if the WG1002 disk is in drive A and your Windows directory is called WINDOWS and is on drive C, type the following at the MS-DOS command prompt and then press ENTER:

          copy a:\schedmsg.dll c:\windows\system
