SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, when Calculation (on the Options menu) is set to either Manual or Automatic Except Tables, all open worksheets are recalculated when Calculate Now is chosen from the Options menu. Under Manual calculation, the worksheet is recalculated whenever it is opened, closed, or saved.

However, when Calculation is set to Automatic Except Tables, no tables on a worksheet are recalculated until Calculate Now is chosen, regardless of whether the worksheet is opened, closed, or saved.
