SUMMARY

Graphical elements of a Microsoft Excel document may not print to a Hewlett-Packard (HP) Paint Series printer (PaintWriter, PaintWriter XL, or PaintJet) that utilizes an outdated Hewlett-Packard driver. Elements that may not print include borders, patterns, shading, charts, pictures, and drawing objects. The result of this is a printout that contains text only.

The driver version for use with an HP Paint series printer is 3.0.7a or higher. Drivers for Hewlett-Packard printers can be obtained by calling the Hewlett-Packard distribution center at (303) 353-7650. This driver should resolve any printing problems within Microsoft Excel version 4.0 in either system 6.0.x or system 7.
