Excel: Unable to Use Data Form with Linked Spreadsheets

SUMMARY

In Microsoft Excel, the Form command on the Data menu cannot be used when the database does not reside on the active worksheet.

If the database resides on Worksheet1, and on Worksheet2 the word "Database" is defined as "=Worksheet1!Database", when Form is chosen from the Data menu with Worksheet2 active, the error message "Database Range is not Valid" will be generated.

To use the Form command, "Database" must be defined on the active worksheet and must refer to cells on that worksheet.

Database functions, such as DSUM() and DCOUNT(), work as expected.
