MORE INFORMATION ================ To configure a modem to automatically answer incoming calls, use the following steps: 1. Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Mail And Fax. 2. Click Microsoft Fax, and then click Properties. 3. On the Modem tab, click the modem you want to use, and then click Properties. 4. In the Answer section, click Answer After X Rings. If you want to change the number of rings before the modem answers the phone from the default value of 3, select any number from 2 to 10. 5. Click OK or Close until you return to Control Panel.
