Incorrect Keyboard Response After Pressing Windows Key

SYMPTOMS

If you press a Windows key on the Microsoft Natural Keyboard in an MS-DOS session and then press another key, it may appear that the Windows key is still pressed. For example, if you press and release the Windows key and then press E, Windows Explorer may start. Windows Explorer normally starts only if you press the Windows key and E at the same time.


CAUSE

This problem can occur if System Agent is running. Note that the Microsoft IntelliType software need not be installed for this problem to occur.


RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, press the same Windows key that you originally pressed, and then press ESC or click the desktop.
