VFOOD is a file in the Software/Data Library that contains code to a virtual device (VxD) for the Microsoft Windows operating system. This code demonstrates the basic features of a Windows VxD and how to implement them.

The Microsoft Macro Assembler (MASM) and the Microsoft Windows Device Driver Kit (DDK) are required to build the VFOOD VxD.

Download VFOOD.EXE, a self-extracting file, from the Microsoft Software Library (MSL) on the following services:

  • Microsoft Download Service (MSDL)

          Dial (206) 936-6735 to connect to MSDL
          Download VFOOD.EXE (size: 18426 bytes) 
    
  • Internet (anonymous FTP)

          ftp ftp.microsoft.com
          Change to the \softlib\mslfiles directory
          Get VFOOD.EXE (size: 18426 bytes)
