Command Prompt Does Not Reflect Code Page Change

SYMPTOMS

If you change the code page in the Control Panel or by using the CHCP command, Command Prompt may not reflect the change.

CAUSE

Required fonts are not available.

RESOLUTION

To work around this problem, install Windows NT with the desired code page.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1. It will be addressed in the next release of Windows NT.
