Communications Failures on Some DEC Machines

SUMMARY

Communications through the serial port on some DEC machines may fail; only one or two characters actually get to the serial port. The following DEC machines may have this problem:

   DS 325c
   DS 333c
   DS 425c

The UART chip on some of these DEC machines needs to be replaced. To find out if your computer needs a new UART chip, contact DEC.
