How to identify differences between the 128-bit and 40-bit versions of Windows NT Service Packs and the files required for 128 Service Packs.

The only files that are different between the 40-bit and 128-bit versions of service packs are Ndiswan.sys, Security.dll, Ntlmssps.dll, and Schannel.dll. This information is being provided for situations where a hotfix version of one of these files might affect whether a 40-bit version is required or a 128-bit version is required.

All 40-bit versions will have the words Export Version on the Version tab in the Description field when you click Properties from the File menu. If you have a 128-bit version of a service pack you will not see Export Version in the Description field on the Version tab when you click Properties from the File menu.
