Different File Locks Info in MacFile Properties & Files Boxes

SYMPTOMS

The File Locks information in the MacFile Properties dialog box (accessed through Control Panel) is sometimes different than the information in the "Files Opened by Macintosh Users on Servername" dialog box (accessed by clicking the Files button). Usually, the number of locked files in the MacFile list is higher.

CAUSE

This behavior can be caused by a Macintosh placing a lock on a file, a PC deletes the file, and the Macintosh continues to try to unlock the file.
